We drove from Green Valley to Yuma AZ on Saturday Feb 21. The drive was through miles and miles of barren desert after we left the Tucson area. But Arizona is not flat ... mountain ranges rise out of the desert with great frequency, rugged and bare of any growth. When we got to Yuma we decided it must be the Motorhome/Trailer capitol of the USA. There must be 30 parks, filled with winter visitors. Amazing.
On Sunday we decided we'd drive north about 25 miles to 'Castle Dome Mines, Museum and Ghost Town'. We liked the Ghost Town idea, found interesting photo opportunities ... old cars and machinery, interiors, lots of texture ... and here we'll show you a selection from our shoot.
