On Tuesday, we drove to Salmon Arm from Kamloops and then South through Vernon to Kelowna. The first three images are from that drive. They show the near-desert character of some of the areas near Kamloops, a ranch... and there are a lot of them ... East of Kamloops and then the lake country at Salmon Arm. This is lovely country with many prosperous farms/ranches , even a few wineries!
When we got to Kelowna we drove on South to West Kelowna and with the help of our GPS found Mission Hill Winery. We had a great lunch in the outdoor cafe and then took our time to photograph the vinyards and some of the architecture of this unusual place.
