It's now the end of September '08
We'll be travelling for two weeks ... mostly in Quebec, with most of that in the Charlevoix and Saguenay Regions, along the North Shore of the St Lawrence. We are hoping for lots of red and yellow leaves so we can post images to this site.
The trip concludes with 3 days in Ottawa with Hewat and Judy Richardson.
Sunday was a driving day. 820 km from our home in Aurora to Quebec City. It was a good drive, reasonable traffic through Montreal, and we 'checked in' around 5:00 pm. At 7:00 we had an (expected) fine dinner in La Fenouillier (The Fennelhouse) at BW Aristocate, our preferred hotel in Quebec.
Monday was glorious. 5C when we got up ... about 18C during the day ...
and sunny! We had about 6 hours of shooting and walking. June was pooped! Then a nice dinner at Restaurant Gambrinus. Then work on photos. Some of the the days shoot is shown.
On Tuesday we went to Baie St Paul in Charlevoix... but we did it with a drive around Isle d'Orleans en route. It was a lovely relaxed day, and we found wineries and cideries as well as churches and red roofs, traditional in many areas of Quebec.
We finish this page with a couple of photographs taken at Auberge la Pignoronde, our home for the next couple of nights at Baie St Paul. Flowers outside our door.
