Lists are always wrong.
That's especially true when it is list of people.
Today, people move about the country ... about the world. The list-makers lose track of them, sometimes by accident, sometimes by mis-information, sometimes because the people on the lists don't want to be 'found'... they have moved on and the part of their life that put them on a particular list is no longer of interest to them.
So, lists are always wrong.
Some years ago when this page was first created it had 3 lists. We listed Class of '53 known members; those members we knew were deceased; members who were 'lost'.
A review of McMaster's current Class of '53 list in 2012 gave us pause. We were surprised at the 'missing/lost' names and wondered about some others. In the end we decided it only made sense to show what McMaster knows. less some known inaccuracies. So now there is only a single list. It's shorter. It's probably also 'wrong'. It's the one we have.
